This livery is based on conteporary Bell 412 liveries in use by 339 Squadron in the RNoAF. Pilots and gunners use a green suit with 339 squadron patches, patches are from patches.no

The download contains 5 liveries numbered 141, 144, 145, 148, and an unmarked livery with no numbers on it. Number 144 is currently the only livery that stands apart from the other 4 because it uses a hand made weathering model which I new to me. I will probably keep updating the liveries to match their real life counterparts and try out some weathering techniques.

At the end of the UH-1Bs service life in the RNoAF, three hueys from 720 squadron were painted with experimental paint schemes to determine an effective pattern for the new Bell 412s that were replacing the UH-1Bs. In my research I have found very few pictures of these helicopters, except for 64-13966 which is at "Forsvarets Flysaming" in Gardermoen. Due to a lack of pictures the entire starboard side and roof of 025 and 699 are guesswork, I have not seen a single picture of them from those angles. Today number 025 is scrapped, 699 sold and now registered as LN-ORW, number 996 is at the aforementioned museum.

The download contains three liveries: Number 025 painted in bright gray, medium green and dark green, Number 699 painted in brown, bright green and medium green, and 966 painted in dark gray, medium green and black. Many files rely on the files in number 025's folder so make sure you dont delete it.

The livery is based of a three tone scheme in the colors of 339 skvadron using medium green, tan and black. One of my reference pictures are in the preview screenshots. Pilot models use an olive suit with the norwegian flag and 339 skvadron patches (only 3rd person for now). Credit to Tor-Helge (see description.lua) for the patches.

338 Squadron was formed at Sola, Stavanger on February 15, 1954 and is one of the youngest squadrons in the Royal Norwegian Air Force. The squadron was first equipped with the F-84G Thunderjet, and in October 1954 it was transferred to Orland air station, which since than has been it's permanent home.  In June 1958, 338 skvadron received its first F-86F Sabre jets. However it wasn't until the spring of 1960 that the transition was complete. 338 Skv flew the Sabre until 1966, when it re-equipped with the F-5 Freedom Fighter, an aircraft that was flown for 19 years, until the arrival of the General Dynamics F-16.

This skin is a fun "What if" on if Norway had opted for the Mirage F1 instead of the F-16 in the interceptor role.
